This is from Eric's POV. The story: Though he can't stop any of them from happening, Eric has the ability to see visions of things that will happen. Recently, Eric has seen his own demise in a fire set by some vampire haters. Rather then thinking of himself, Eric becomes focused on Bill. He knows his end will devastate his lover. Eric wonders who will be there to take his place in Bill's life. He sees a vision of Malcolm and knows that Malcolm will be there for Bill. The video opens with Eric talking to Bill but he doesn't tell Bill about his vision. He lets Bill know that when he's gone, Bill will need love - essentially letting Bill know it's ok to move on with someone else if anything should ever happen to Eric. Eric has hope there's someone out there who can bring him back to Bill, then he sees a vision of Lance - an old friend of his. Lance has been working on a serum which will do just that - bring back burned vampires. It'll take time for Eric to regain all his strength so while Eric now knows he'll survive the fire, he won't be able to return to Bill immediately and fears he will lose Bill to Malcolm. On the eve before the fire, Eric goes to Bill's and feeds him, unbeknownst to Bill, this act would keep Eric in Bill's heart and mind. It will also temporarily (12 hours) give Bill the ability to see visions and to "feel" if Eric is in danger. Hours after Eric leaves, Bill feels like something is wrong. He rushes out his door sensing Eric needs him but not knowing exactly why or what's wrong. Eric senses Bill's anxiety and sends calming thoughts to him along with the memory of him giving Bill his blood. This is Eric's way to make Bill understand why he is suddenly feeling intuitions. Eric goes to rest knowing the fire will take him that night. Bill is startled awake in the morning, he sees a vision of Eric in a fire and tries desperately to get up but he can't - it's daytime! At this point I skip ahead a few months and Bill turns to Malcolm who has been there for him even since Eric ended. Even though he knew it would happen, it hurts Eric to know Bill went to another and he's sad that nothing can replace what he has lost. He knows he must return soon and thankfully his healing is almost complete. The first half of the vid is a lot of Eric's visions, the last half is all those visions coming true including Bill going to Malcolm. The B&W scenes are Eric's visions and memories of Bill or Eric.
