An AU video partially. Severus deals with his bad choices, bad memories, mistakes and regrets by keeping Lily in his dreams. In this video I use Barty Crouch Jr.to portray a young Severus. Since there were no scenes of Snape as a Death Eater at the time when I made this video, I had to find a stand in and since Barty has dark hair he worked best. Also Lucius in his Death Eater attire is meant to be Severus - his face is hidden enough that I think it works. Bottom line: neither Barty Jr. nor Lucius Malfoy are in this video at all it's Severus! The story: Severus lives a life filled with regret and sorrow. He thinks of and dreams of Lily Potter all the time, she was the love of his life. Even though she married James and they had a son, Severus never stopped loving her. This video has him reflecting on his past. He joined Lord Voldemort thinking at that time, that it was the right thing to do. The Dark Lord arranged for James to be killed but he also betrayed Severus by killing Lily too. Now Severus can't look at it -this death eater/Voldemort thing- the same. If Severus hadn't made the choice to become a Death Eater Lily would still be alive. Severus remembers the day he was told that the Dark Lord was going after Lily, he rushed to find her so he could save her but it was too late because the Dark Lord was already at her door. His memories go backwards as he next remembers seeing Lily in the arms of James Potter, he was so hurt that he ran to the Forbidden Forest and pledged himself to the Dark Lord by casting the Dark Mark in the night sky. Severus became Voldemort's most trusted follower never realizing that Lily would be killed as a result. The scene that plays through his mind of Lily being killed haunts him every day. Now her son Harry attends Hogwarts and Severus feels even stronger guilt for taking Harry's parent's away from him. He sees images of them as a family and of him standing behind them. Severus had vowed to Dumbledore to protect Harry from Voldemort and he has done so. The Lily in his dreams is pleased and smiles down upon him. All Severus has wanted since Lily was killed is for the last one to fall (Voldemort). He will spend the rest of his life deceiving the Dark Lord to make sure that it happens. When it's all said and done it won't take away Severus' love for Lily. Severus is waiting for that day.
