From Josef's POV. Beth and Josef are in love but because Josef is a vampire, he and Beth think differently. He doesn't need her to constantly say "I love you" or "I care" because he instinctively knows it (vampire senses and all). He sometimes forgets Beth doesn't have the same instincts, so he doesn't always remember he needs to say those things to her. The video opens with Josef saying: "Need I say I love you? Need I say I care?..." There are also certain things they can't share, their emotions for one because they are very different with hers being human and his being vampire. Josef has never tried to deceive Beth, he's always been honest with her about what being in a relationship with a vampire entails. They knew their relationship would not be easy from the start and they can't seem to live together yet they can't seem to live apart. Josef doesn't want to go but Beth can't handle a couple truths about Josef being a vampire: 1. The danger he's always in (he has a friend, Mick, always watching her to protect her) and 2. his need to feed from a different human woman (Josef won't feed from Beth because to do so he risks turning her and he couldn't live with himself if he did that). Finally Beth gives Josef back a book photos of the two of them together and announces she's ending things. Josef knows this is a mistake, his vamp senses make him attuned to the future, he knows she will regret and be be sorry for this. Throughout the video Josef tries to convince her not to throw it all away, that their love was meant to be. Does he succeed or does Beth throw it all away?
