Two Out of Three

I have a few video ideas for this song and this is the first. From Josef's POV. Mick and Josef have been in a relationship for awhile. Mick needs more from Josef,- he needs to know that Josef loves him but Josef has never said those three words to Mick. This has has caused Mick to become cold to Josef and it's been that way for months now.

Josef does care deeply for Mick but he can't love him. He finally tells Mick: "I cannot lie, I cannot tell you that I'm something I'm not, no matter how I try I'll never be able to give you something, something that I just haven't got..." meaning his heart. Why won't Josef allow himself to love? Finally Josef tells Mick why as illustrated in the black & white flash back scenes. It seems that many years ago someone really screwed with Josef's heart and head. She used the same words to Josef that Josef now has said to Mick: "I want you, I need you, but there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you...now don't be sad, cuz two out of three ain't bad..." Josef's so guarded now that can't love another and he can't get the woman who hurt him out of his heart even though she never loved him back.

Enjoy...I think that this is a great story telling song.
