The video starts out from Mick's POV. Josef has left and Mick doesn't know why. Josef's absence is devastating to Mick. He spends the first half of the video continuously going to Josef and pouring his heart out trying to convince Josef to return to him. Josef feels terrible, he really didn't want to leave Mick. Every time Mick comes to him Josef feels bad for having to walk away. So why did he? Well, in this story it's because he feels guilty. In the heat of passion he accidentally turned Mick into a vampire. Mick keeps telling Josef: "I wouldn't have it any other way", he's happy that Josef turned him. But Josef feels he must atone for what he did, he must punish himself by giving up the man he loves with all his heart.

Josef is at his office with Beth when Mick shows up and makes one last plea to save their relationship. Josef rejects Mick again telling him in a well acted smug way that he's in love with Beth now, which of course is not true, but Josef knew if he said that then Mick would move on with his life. It worked - Mick is stung and leaves. Josef regrets that he had to hurt Mick like this but he wants Mick to be happy. Beth leaves the office so that Josef can deal with his heartache privately.

Weeks later Mick attends a party that Josef is in attendance at. Josef's platonic date is Beth. He's been trying hard to forget Mick but then he sees Mick at the party with a woman. Josef can't keep his eyes off of them, he feels a great sense of loss & remorse. Beth is talking to him but Josef can't focus on her, he keeps looking over at Mick with this woman. The reality hits him that he can't live without Mick - he needs to be with him. He realizes how foolish he has been. Mick isn't angry with him for turning him so why is he punishing himself? This is when the lyrics now become from Josef's POV. The table has turned and now Josef begins going to Mick. It starts when he's waiting for Mick that night at his home. But Mick is hurt & isn't sure he can believe in Josef any more. Josef has to keep telling Mick "If you want to know the truth...." Does Josef convince him? Watch and see...
