My 1st Mentalist vid. A slash featuring Detective Cho and Patrick Jane - two characters who I never would have thought of pairing till I happened to stumble across a video on YT using them. I was intrigued - Jane & Cho?!? How on earth was that vidder going to pull that off? Of course I love slash videos and I love The Mentalist so I HAD to watch it! Well...the vidder really made a believable video and really inspired me. I knew I to had to make a slash video for Jane & Cho.

The story: It's from Cho's POV. He and Jane, after months of being drawn to each other, finally got together. Jane was nervous & a bit reluctant. The 1st scene of Jane going to his room (if you watch the series just forget what he really finds in that room) is their "first time" and Jane is working up the nerve to go in his room knowing Cho is waiting for him in there. Once their night was over they shared more, BUT Jane backs away - loves & lets go - because he feels confusion (he's never felt this way for a male before) and guilt (his child & wife are dead and Jane still grieves for them). Cho understands, he tells Jane from the start (follow the lyrics) "When the time is right I will come back for you". He knows Patrick is in pain but he also knows if Jane would just choose to let him in that the pain could be taken away. (lyric: Oh Jane...you can take the pain away" is referring to Jane's pain being taken away). Patrick spends lots of time remembering his and Cho's nights together. I've tried to create angst. In the end, after another night with Cho and him walking away again, Jane sits on his bed and makes a decision! Will they get a happy ending?

I knew exactly what song to use for this! An Air Supply song that is PERFECT for these two. Anyone who watches The Mentalist knows that Patrick Jane is always referred to as "Jane". The chorus of the song starts with the words: "Oh Jane...take me to your room again..." PERFECT! I dedicate this video to two people: pasqualehere and Oni - this one's for you! Hope you like it.
